Is it the right solution for my student?

Recently a Google search on apps for special education yielded 7.5 million hits. There are many options available for the apple platform alone. The droid platform offers other options with some apps being developed for both-others only available on one platform or the other.

With so much information out there it can be intimidating to know where to begin KATC’s expert staff is receiving a lot of requests for iPad apps to assist people with disabilities read, write and talk.

Aaron Markovits, Director, KATC will review the advantages and disadvantages of iDevices (iPads, iPods, iPhones) and review 16 different apps available to assist with communication and educational needs of students with special needs.

Participants will receive an overview of different accessibility settings built into the Apple operating software on iDevices.
