Services We Offer:The variety of
services offered by the Kern Assistive Technology Center (KATC) seek to
enhance the functional skills and independence of our participants.
Those services include:
- Perform AT (Assistive Technology) Assessments - designed to
determine the right technology to meet their needs. We recognize that
the needs of our participants may vary. Our goal is to maximize the
learning potential with our assistive technology assessments.
- Research Assistive Technology and Equipment - through research, we can apply our findings to our programs and assessments to meet the individual needs of our participants.
- Provide Loan Equipment - access to loan equipment is
available to our participants, their families, professionals and

- Provide Information and Referall- Research technology and equipment that will best fit the individual.
